.................................................................................
At 2am you’ve got limited choices:
1. Don Lapre screaming about his ridiculous making money schemes 2. Girls Gone Wild 3. Jack Lalanne hocking a juice machine
I admit I bought one long ago before my years of diving into the nutrition textbooks.
Does the juicer make a delicious smoothie out of your favorite fruit combination? Sure
Does it work to help you lose fat? Nope.
Here’s the thing…
When you use a juicer, you’re taking the power out of the fruit. You’re extracting all the fiber from the fruit, leaving you with a glass of concentrated sugar liquid. (That’s why it tastes so damn good)
Now, your fruit juice isn’t exactly evil, but in the quantities you can easily consume, the calories really add up.
Besides a potential for caloric disaster, drinking a glass or two of this concentrated sugar liquid can cause your insulin levels to spike like the Google graph on alexa.com.
That being said, if your hell- bent on buying a juicer from a 200 (or so) year old man, try adding some vegetables to the mix.
Vegetables naturally have a lower calorie content. You’ll also be getting an extra dose of vitamins and feel more refreshed than sluggish.
One summer morning drink I still enjoy from time to time and along with some protein, is the green apple/ celery combo.
Nice and refreshing.

How many hours at the gym is enough to lose weight?
Is cardio the best way to get toned? I'm a mom just starting to get back into working out after a long layoff off due to work and family commitments. I haven't been to the gym in a little over 2 years even though I kept the membership and I feel like I'm starting from scratch. I need to lose about 30 pounds and want to shape up as soon as possible.
Is it possible to lose weight and gain muscle at the same time?
