.............................................................................
A “six- pack” is attainable by following 2 basic principles. The first principle is to develop the abdominal muscles themselves through intense (heavy) strength training. The second principle is lose the body fat layer covering the abdominal region by creating a caloric deficit through proper diet and cardiovascular training.
Contrary to popular belief, spot- reduction of the stomach by simply performing thousands of crunches is not possible.
In other words, performing more and more reps of any abs exercise won’t get you closer to your fat loss goal. It'll just make sore as hell.
Performing all those extra reps WILL however give you more endurance to do more crunches. So if your goal is to win a crunching contest, by all means keep crunching.
If your goal is a six- pack, start paying closer attention to your diet, and strength train by properly overloading them with resistance.
