What are some good snacks to have between meals when trying to lose weight?

.....................................................................................

Christopher Warden: I think the first thing to consider is that we stop referring to snacks as snacks and call them what they really are -- just another meal.

Trivial point?  Maybe.  But people seem to have more trouble finding food options at "snack time" when they feel limited to choosing foods that fall into the snack category.  Good, wholesome, nutritious food is good food any time of the day.

Avoid associating specific foods with specific meals and times of the day.  Your food choices will be limitless, provided they're healthy, of course.

All semantics aside, you want a list of foods that can give you great, quick meals at the office, while you’re running errands or when you’re playing with the kids?  Here you go:

Just as you do during “regular meals,” combine nutrients to promote stable blood sugar and efficient metabolism and nutrient absorption.  Have some cream cheese with your carrot sticks.  Eat a couple of hard boiled eggs with a fruit medley.  Get some tuna salad and have it with a slice of organic, whole grain bread.

Most importantly, develop the habit of just getting these extra meals in.  The clients who have the most fat loss success are those that eat frequently – breakfast, lunch, dinner AND “snacks.”  Do the same, and you’ll stoke the fat-burning furnace within you.

Get Thoroughly Acquainted with Your Food for the Best Weight Loss Results

What do you think of that diet where you eat certain foods based on your blood type?

I’ve always been told to get a six- pack you need to do a lot of abs work with high reps. Would you agree?

Do I need supplements to lose weight?

Is it possible to lose weight and gain muscle at the same time?

I’ve got fat located in the area of my body where my arm meets my shoulder, and I can’t get rid of it.  Are there any exercises in particular that would help improve that? Or what about any spot reducing supplements?

I know I should be having some protein and carbs after a weights workout, but what about after cardio? I've heard that you should wait 2 hours before eating.

You mentioned the benefits of scheduling a "cheat meal" into your eating program at least once per week. Is there a best time to eat a cheat meal?

Should I be counting my grams of fat, sugar, and calories?

What can I do to flatten my lower abs? I've been doing crunches and hanging leg raises for the last year, but nothing seems to help.
